About Us
Doug and Joyce have been married for about 29 years and are the proud parents of Andrew, Abby, Anthony, and Auria.
Doug completed a doctorate in education from Bob Jones University in 2007. He is the division chairman for Business, Trades and Technology at the School of Applied Studies at BJU. During the summers he is an educational consultant for BJU Press. He and Joyce lead the Bible Quiz teams at Hampton Park Baptist Church. Doug also produces Teaching Faithful Men, a weekly radio program heard in the Caribbean and is the president of Aviation Radio Missionary Service which administrates the Harbour Light of the Windwards radio station in Grenada.
Joyce is the lead elementary science author at BJU Press. She enjoys scrapbooking and crocheting. She sings in Hampton Park’s choir and works with Bible Quizzing.
Andrew is married to Melanie Boone. They live in Raford, Virginia. Melanie is working on a master’s degree in speech and language pathology at Radford University. Andrew works at Volvo as a computer consultant and wants to start working an advanced degree in philosophy. Their blog is Points of View.
Abby is married to Lincoln Mullen. They live in Taylors, SC. Abby is working on a master’s degree in English while working as a graduate assistant in English at BJU. Lincoln is the reference librarian at the BJU Mack Library. Their blog is The Backwards Glance.
Anthony is an Engineering Sciences student at BJU and is working at the Wilds Christian Camp for the summer. He enjoys developing one of the science department’s robots.
Auria is a freshman at Bob Jones Academy and will represent her class on the school spirit squad this year. She plays piano and violin.
